国連世界宇宙週間JAPAN2020レポート

10月末をもって、国連世界宇宙週間JAPAN2020のイベント、アワード、クラウドファンディングと全て終了しました。ご参加・ご協力いただいたすべての皆さま、ありがとうございました。

以下、2020年の国連世界宇宙週間JAPAN活動のまとめです。
This is World Space Week Japan Annual Report 2020.

今年はCOVID-19の影響で実際に大勢で集まってするイベントが難しかった。その中でも日本では、今までで最多の225が開催された。
This year, while COVID -19 Pandemic made it difficult to hold events where many participants gathered at the venue, the number of space-related events in Japan reached a record high of 225.

１．今回、日本独自にイベントに賞を与える試みを行なった。そして、多くの人が、SNSを使ってイベントの結果や受賞の報告を掲載した。今まで全く世界宇宙週間を知らなかった多くの人たちにも知ってもらい、参加してもらうことができた。
Each event was given an award as a unique attempt of Japan. Many people had used SNS to post their events’ and awards’ reports. Their family, friends and followers who had never known World Space Week were able to learn and join it.

その他にもオンラインイベントが多く行われた。
There were many other online space-related events.

2．中でも“Humming for Peace“はオンラインで当日200人を越える参加者と共にハミングで曲を奏で、平和を祈った。今年の国連世界宇宙週間の国際テーマでもある「Satellite improve life」の「Satellite」によって整えられた環境を最大限に活用したイベントとなった。
The “Humming for Peace” project performed humming songs online with over 200 participants to pray for peace. This event used to the fullest the online communication given by “Satellite” which is the international theme of this year’s UN-declared World Space Week.

3．昨年に引き続き、みんなの笑顔の動画や写真を集めて平和を促進する”スマイルリレー“も、日本だけでなく世界中からSNSへの投稿が66集まり、いいね数3,020、総再生回数3,589と盛り上がり、世界が笑顔で満たされた。
Like last year, “Smile Relay” had returned to promote peace by collecting videos and photos of smiles. There were 66 SNS posts not only from Japan but from all over the world, with 3,020 likes and 3,589 total views, and the world was filled with their big smiles.

多くの人々が集まって行われたイベントは以下の通り。
We also had many offline space-related events.

4．高層階で行われたファッションショー、”天空スペースランウェイショー“。宇宙をイメージしたゴージャスな衣装でのファッションショーが宇宙週間に花を添えた。
“Sky Space Runway Show” was a fashion show on the upper floors. Their gorgeous costume, inspired by the universe, graced World Space Week.

5．子どもが宇宙への夢を語る”APキッズスクールイベント“。コロナ禍でもしっかりマスクをつけ、子ども達も集まれるイベントを実現した。
In “AP Kids School Event”, children presented their dreams for space. We realized an event where children can gather wearing masks under difficult conditions.

6．電波を発するものをデトックスして過ごし、宇宙を感じる”デジタルデトックスキャンプ”
This was “Digital Detox Camp” where you could feel the universe through precious time enjoying with their family and friends without using electric devices.

7．障がいのある人もない人も体の機能全てを使って表現するバリアフリーワークショップ、 “Space/Cosmic Workshop” は会場とオンラインと両方で開催されたイベント。宇宙を通して、みんなが一つとなるイベントとなった。
The Barrier-Free Workshop “Space/Cosmic Workshop” was held both online and offline in which attendees with and without disabilities could express themselves using their whole bodies. They were able to unite through this space themed event.

8．オンラインで開催された国際宇宙会議（IAC）に合宿形式で参加。宇宙に関連する大きなイベントを結びつける役割を果たした。
Finally, we had joined 71st International Astronautical Congress (IAC) – The CyberSpace Edition as a training camp. It helped connect many people’s interests to this world’s largest space-related event.
